JCA Global, a world leading Emotional Intelligence consultancy, have raised over £1000 for childhood bereavement charity, Winston’s Wish.
Through a range of activities over the past 12 months, the amount that has been raised will fund one of Winston’s Wish’s family meeting rooms for a whole year and enable 500 support meetings between the charities practitioners and families. These meetings allow families to work on difficult feelings and memories, to support them in coming to terms with their grief.
The JCA Global team have raised the money by bringing some fun to their offices, including:
- The Great JCA Bake off: where many sweet treats were baked and consumed
- Summer sports day and fete: a step back in time to school days with classic fete games
- Halloween pumpkin carving: the team had fun carving creative scary scenes into pumpkins
- A number of brain teasers and quiz’s: boosting brain activity
Winston’s Wish is currently expanding their services nationally, to include face-to-face support within individual or group settings, a freephone national helpline, training, publications and resources and online services, including ASK email and help2makesense for young people.
John Cooper, CEO of JCA Global said: “We choose a charity each year to support, and the overwhelming vote in 2017 went to Winston’s Wish, whose values are so in line with our own in the way they emotionally intelligently support children. It’s been a brilliant effort from the whole team and we couldn’t be prouder to be able to contribute to help the charity to continue their fantastic and invaluable work.”
